The Conference of St Theresa, Melaka, organized its 21^st Life-Saving Campaign (Blood Donation) on 28^th August 2011from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. in the Parish Hall of the Church of St. Theresa, Jalan Gajah Berang, Melaka with the medical assistance from the Hospital Besar, Melaka.

Rev. Fr. Peter Ng, the Parish Priest officiated the Opening Ceremony with prayers and blessings. Rev. Fr. Peter congratulated the members for their noble effort in organizing this campaign yearly because of their concern to save lives. Rev. Bro. Joachim Heng, the Conference’s Spiritual Advisor was also present to grace the occasion.

Bro. Steven Soh, Conference President wish to record his sincere thanks to Rev. Fr. Peter Ng for his encouragement and officiating the Campaign. In comparison, there’s about 20% increased this year’s Campaign. This year we have 203 donors while last year there was 172 donors.  He expressed his thanks to the donors for their generous support in helping to save lives through their selfless act. Bro. Steven said this Campaign is organized yearly between the month of August or September. This is to coincide with the Feast Day celebration of St. Theresa of Lisieux – which is the patron saint of this Church and the Conference. The Church is also celebrating it’s 70th Anniversary this year.All donors were given a Hamper (consisting Milo, Oats, Eggs and Biscuits) for their effort. The Conference wish to record it’s heart-felt thanks especially to Datuk Goh Kok Keng and all well-wishes for the generous donation of the Hampers.
