Volunteers provide support through activities such as fund-raising or providing and experience to service users
Examples: Bring out Service users (Fins) for and outing / Bring someone to hospital etc.
Volunteers provide support by interacting with service users
Examples: Befriending or Facilitating food delivery etc
Volunteers provide support by using their talents and experiences and resources strengthen the capabilities of the social mission organisations
Examples: Web design, posters, photography, accounting etc
If you have time to spare and wish to join our fraternity with the intention of reaching out to those who need help,and call the nearest Conference or branch of the Society to your location.
Spirituality: - The primary purpose of SSVP is to increase the spiritual growth of its members. Volunteers prepare prayers for all meetings, maintain prayer lists, schedule Masses, organize spiritual reflections and provide spiritual guidance and prayers for other ministries. Â
Food Pantry:
Pack bags of groceries for distribution.
Register those coming for groceries and give out bags and extra items.
Sort food from a variety of sources and stock shelves.
Food Link: Use your vehicle to pick up items from local grocery stores. Deliver to SSVP for storage in designated spaces.
Thrift Center/Boutique:
Collect, fold and arrange clothes.
Sort and display housewares.
Assist shoppers as needed.
Work cash registers for payment of purchases.

Home Visitors:
 Provide financial and other counseling as needed and wanted.
Arrange payment with service providers of essential needs.
Assist those who are temporarily homeless.
Make referrals to local social service agencies and offer other SVdP services such as the Food Pantry and Thrift Store.
On call one to two days a month.
Donations Shed:
Accept donations.
Move items to appropriate location.
Ambassadors:Â
   Welcome new Vincentians and help them find their ministry with SSVP.
Meet and greet new members.
One-on-one discussion to explain SSVP programs.
Friendly Neighbor Ministry:Â
   The elderly are often forgotten members of our society. Friendly Neighbors:
Provide phone contact and home visits for the isolated or homebound.
Offer those we visit our smiling faces, listening ears and understanding hearts.
Provide the presence and friendship of a faith-based, serving community.
Phone Responders:
SSVP has a helpline. Phone responders work one day a week to retrieve calls and refer callers to the appropriate person.Â
Marketing/Publicity Committee:
   Communicates our mission and activities to clients, volunteers and supporters.Â
Computer, Database and Website Support:
Assist in maintaining and updating databases.
Website development and maintenance.
Provide technical support for all computer systems.
Community Outreach:Â
  Liaison with other partners dealing with hunger, housing, employment, and other local issues affecting those who are disadvantaged.Â
General Support:
Grant application writing.
Tracking volunteer hours.
Recording minutes.
Thank you letters.
Special events.
Voice of the Poor:Â
  This advocacy group supports programs to help those in need at the local, county, state and federal levels. We also support programs and actions sent to us by the national leadership. Reports as appropriate go to our members. This is not a political lobbying group.
Youth Activities:Â
 Student volunteers assist at Education Projects, assist at the Thrift Center where help is needed.Â
 Student to mission work at all projects.
